Route 66
Route 66 is an up and coming Swedish DJ and music producer that has recently signed to Universal Music Group. He started out his career making music in his room in Stockholm before performing at parties and to his family and friends, before he stepped it up to performing at clubs all around the country. His love for electronic dance music was born after going to underground raves and his love for Swedish House Mafia's dominance of the dance music scene. His passion for music has never ceased and he always wants to promote love and unity of people around the world through his music and his shows. He signed for Universal Music Group in 2017 after his performance opening Summerburst festival in Stockholm and he has worked closely with them to release his new album "We Can Never Die". When speaking about the album 66 said: "I wanted the album to narrate my life, overcoming challenges both through myself and the amazing people around me as well as showing the unity that can be achieved with all people through the power of music". In his most recent music video "Break Me Down", Route pays homage to the late James Dean who tragically died in a car accident after being an icon for overcoming social estrangement and the negative portrayal of teenagers and young adults in society. Route said: "when I learned about what he represented for young people I felt a connection to that, i fell that it is a discrimination we overlook in society and we must all unite as one no matter our age".
